Important Information
**The Mercer County IDRC office is closed on Fridays during the summer months.
CLASSES: If you received a letter in the mail with your scheduled class date, you must submit payment online and forward a copy of your receipt to our email address (merceridrc@tcnj.edu). Payment is required to confirm registration. We will respond with a confirmation email and provide you with all of the information you will need for the class. Please see our Class Registration page for more information.
The Mercer County IDRC offers classes in both English and Spanish. Please let us know which class you prefer.
CASE INQUIRIES: If you have any questions about your case, please contact the IDRC via email at merceridrc@tcnj.edu. Please include your first name, last name, and date of birth in your email so we can provide accurate information regarding your case.

TCNJ has been selected to operate the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) for Mercer County. The Mercer County IDRC provides 12-hour IDRC education, referral, and treatment monitoring services to Mercer County residents and other individuals who have been convicted of operating a motor vehicle or boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol are mandated to attend the IDRC program.
This program has two purposes:
- To make our highways and waterways safer by educating drivers and boat operators about alcohol and drugs and their relation to motor vehicle and boating safety.
- To refer, monitor, and guide those who are in need of treatment for drug and/or alcohol related issues.
